At STEO, we understand that every student and every family is unique.
While transportation services are provided in accordance with provincial eligibility standards and STEO policies, we recognize that some students may require additional consideration due to medical, safety, or exceptional circumstances.
The STEO Ride Request Hub provides one convenient place for families to request a review of their individual circumstances.
Most families will not need to complete a Ride Request. These requests are intended for situations where a family believes additional consideration may be appropriate beyond standard transportation eligibility.

Please note: Submission of a Ride Request does not guarantee transportation or an accommodation. Each request is reviewed individually in accordance with provincial requirements, STEO policies, available resources, and the information provided.
Medical Transportation Requests
Does your child have a medical condition or disability that may affect their transportation needs?
If your child has a medical condition or disability that may impact their ability to safely access school transportation or walk to school or a bus stop, you may request a medical transportation review.
A medical note or supporting documentation from a regulated health care professional is required as part of this process.
Safety & Hazard Review Requests
Are you concerned about your child’s walking route or bus stop location?
If you believe there is a safety concern affecting your child’s assigned walking route to school or to a bus stop, you may request a hazard review.
STEO reviews requests using its Hazard Assessment Tool and applies the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Common Reference Standards together with local safety information and industry best practices.
Please note that submitting a request does not automatically result in a transportation accommodation. Each location is reviewed individually to determine whether the identified conditions meet established assessment criteria.
Exceptional Circumstances Requests
Is your family experiencing a situation that may temporarily affect your child’s transportation needs?
Some families experience exceptional circumstances that may affect their child’s transportation arrangements.
This request is intended for specific situations identified within STEO’s Exceptional Circumstances process.
If you believe your family may qualify, please complete the request form and provide as much information as possible. Our team will carefully review your submission and contact you if additional information is required.
